The 2022 edition of the OTP Startup Booster Program is the Group’s most comprehensive innovation program as not only the Group’s Hungarian headquarters but also its CEE-based subsidiaries are joining the program.

This is proven by the fact that over the recent years, the group reviewed the possibility of working with more than 1.300 startups, conducted 45 pilots, and had post-pilot collaborations with almost half of them.

Seeking Innovation In & Beyond Banking

Applications for the OTP Startup Booster Program can be submitted by later-stage startups and scaleups from any location until 11 April 2022. The companies should already have found a post-product or -market fit. OTP especially encourages women-led companies and startups with gender-diverse founding teams to apply. What can you expect from the Booster Program?

Companies applying for the program will take part in a three-stage selection process: after completing the online application form, candidates demonstrating a good business fit will be invited to an online interview in April 2022 and finally, the best applicants can attend the two-day Selection Days in Budapest, Hungary (25-26 May 2022).

The three-month pilot period – supported by business development mentoring – will take place between September and November 2022, fully through online channels. The pilot period will conclude with an online Demo Day on 30 November 2022, where the cohort companies can present the results of the pilot projects to the management of the Group, as well as the representatives of several Hungarian and international corporate partners and investors.

Afterward, the companies with the most promising pilot results will join the 6-month rollout phase of the program, in which they can instantly commence the live implementation of their solution within the OTP Group.

2021 Winner Mentessa enables Smoother Onboarding with the Help of a Mentor

Mentessa, a Germany-based startup, provides a cloud-based community platform for mentoring and know-how exchange in network organizations. The company provides its digital onboarding solution to one of OTP Bank’s subsidiaries, which supports the training of the bank’s newly hired employees. With the help of this solution, the Human Resources Department could measure a significant increase in employee experience, user satisfaction, and engagement. In the future, the bank also pursues the goal to decrease attrition-driven onboarding productivity loss and increase productivity for all employee roles due to faster onboardings.
